Recipe: homemade french croissants

Hi!

Making these delicious croissants was a lot of work. It took me 1 and  a half day!
But it was totally worth it, nothing better than homemade croissants or bread.
These croissants have a nice and crispy “crust” and so many flaky layers.
When these come out of your oven they are impossible to resist!

I din’t change anything from the original recipe, so I will link it below. The croissants were absolutely delicious and it is a perfect recipe with a lot of pictures showing how to do every step.

I will list the ingredients here:

  • 7g (2½ teaspoons) active dry yeast
  • 62.5ml (¼ cup) + 187.5ml (¾cups) milk
  • 50g (¼ cup) sugar
  • 375g (3 cups) all-purpose flour
  • 6g (1 teaspoon) fine sea salt
  • 210g (1 cup) cold butter
  • 16g (2 tablespoons) all-purpose flour
  • 1 egg

These croissants are definitely not healthy, they exist of 70+ alternating layers of butter and dough.
But you will enjoy them and you won’t regret it! They are delicious.
